Exchange problems

I recently transferred exchange services from one server to another. All users and databases transferred ok and mail is working fine internally. However I cannot send mail outside the company, nor receive mail from the outside. Any thoughts on what I may have missed here?
 
Check your firewall. If you are running ISA as I am (not sure about some other firewalls) you need to redo your published servers to reflect your new servers IP or the firewall won't be able to route properly. Make sure your mail server has the default gateway properly set. Check your MX records in your DNS. Basically, treat this as a new install as opposed to just transferring services and check every setting and record that you had to when the "old" exchange server was put into production.
