If it is just simple background, right click on the slide, select Save
background.
Then on the new presentation, click Format > Background.
Click on the dropdown bar, select Fill Effects > Picture Tab > Select
Picture.
Look for the background and ok your way out.
If right click doesn't bring up the Save Background option, click View >
Master > Slide Master.
Select the slide master thumbnail.
Click Edit > Copy.
Now, open up the new presentation, click View > Master > Slide Master.
Click Edit > Paste.
Close Master View.
Click Format > Slide Design.
Hover over the new slide master thumbnail and select Apply to All Slides.
Take note though, that if you have different formatting (e.g. text size)
applied to both slide masters, the updated slides will follow the formatting
of the new master.
