I have been using archive sink to archive all mail on our Exchange 2000
server. The question I have is how do you view the message body of the mail
files that are in the MAPI folder. I can read the message bodies in the
SMTP folder just fine, but the MAPI files seem to be encoded somhow. I have
tried to open the file in Outlook and Outlook Express with no results. Does
anyone have any idea what I can do to view the message bodies?

Thanks, RWD

Only use Archive Sink for troubleshooting purposes. If you want to save /
view messages use journaling.

It is likely TNEF encoded.

In Exchange 5.5 you could rename the IMC archive files to a .uue and then
open it with winzip. I haven't tried any of this with 2000 but its worth a
shot.
