Excessive Uploads

I've just upgraded to Windows XP, with IE6.When I'm
connected to the net, I now find that my computer is
uploading about twice as much as the downloads. Previously
with 98SE, the ratio was about 10% upload to download.
I've disable error messaging & checked for viruses so
what's going on?

If you don't have all the Updates and patches installed yet, you should do
so right away. Also, if you don't have a firewall, here is a free program
that is very excellent at keeping any information from being uploaded to the
Internet without your permission, or knowledge. :-)
