Hi, I've recently upgraded from 98SE to XP Home, still
using IE6. Previously, my uploading was around 10% of the
download. With XP, I'm now uploading twice as much as the
download. I've scanned for trojans, viruses & spyware but
can't find anything. How do I see where I'm uploading to?

Hi nc :-)

Do you have a Firewall? There may be a log to tell you what ahd how much is
being sent. However, if you have a lot of uploadings as you indicate, you
likely have spyware and/or malware on you system.

Download and install, then you *MUST* update the programs prior to running
to be sure they have the latest definitions, then run the programs below.
They are free and very effective. Be sure to run both SpyBot and Adaware,
as what one does not detect the other may. It is important that you do all
the steps and follow all
directions carefully:

CWShredder: Free

AdAware: Free

SpyBot Search & Destroy: Free

IMPORTANT:
Before trying to remove spyware using the programs below, download a copy of
LSPFIX from the URL below - some malware may kill your internet connection
when it is removed, this program will enable you to regain your connection.

Here is Zone Alarm - Free. It's a very good Firewall, I use it myself, and
it works great.

Another good program to help keep spyware from sending information to the
Internet.

SpywareBlaster.

Hope this helps.
