Excessive time getting logged on

I have a network with two servers and three PCs. On one of
the PCs and one of the servers, whenever I logon it stays
in the "Load your personal setting" mode for about 20
minutes. It eventually finishes and I get to my desktop. I
am not sure what is taking so long to load the personal
settings. I can go to the other PCs and logon with no
delay at all.

Does an ipconfig/all from the client show that everything is pointing to
your server-IP?
What OS on those clients?

Marina,

You pointed me in the right direction. After looking at
the ipconfig report, I saw that my DNS was set to my ISP's
address. I changed it back to the DNS on my DNS server and
everything was fixed. I had no idea that the DNS server
was so vital in a network.

Thanks for your help.

Very vital. If DNS is not setup right, you can have all kinds of problems.
Great you got it solved now.
