excessive network activity

Hi, hopefully someone can shed some light on this query for me.

I have a win2k machine on an NT domain. The win2k machine has sent
approximately 100mb of data in 4hours! I have run a full virus scan and
nothing has been detected. Is there any way of telling what data is being
sent and where it is going. There is nothing running on this PC, it has just
been sat idle all morning.

one way to find out more (a bit advanced): download etherreal(.com) and
watch the traffic.

Is there really nothng running on it?
No server? no auto-update? no filesharing? no instant messanger?

And if so: why is it switched on? :)
