Excessive Memory Usage

Task Manager says that the program gcasDtServ.exe is
using 112,000K of memory, and I have a feeling that's
what is causing various other programs I'm using to lock
up. I've had AntiSpyware installed for 2 weeks or so,
but I've only noticed this for the last 2 days. Any
ideas what's causing this, and how I can fix it? Thanks.
 
Are you keeping the UI for the app open?

Do you normally hibernate, as opposed to shutting down and restarting?

I've got a laptop I hibernate habitually-I'll take a look at that stat and
see what is happening, but I can't get to it until this evening.
 
reinstall microsoft antispyware and see if its using a
lot of memory again. im guessing you didn't make a
sucessful installation. when installing Microsoft
antispyware disable your antivirus.
 
I also have a similar problem, however in my case the
program gcasdtserv.exe overloads my commit charge and then
words on the screen start dissapearing and i get a pool
overload error on the good ol Blue screen of death.
I removed the program and everything worked fine,
reinstalled it and have the exact same problem. I would be
careful with using this beta, it has the possibilty of
causing problems. And if you think i have a virus i ran 3
different virus scans and ran Spybot and Adaware and all
of them came up negative.

It appears that a further beta release is planned for this product, so I
hope you'll stay tuned and test again when that appears.
