After installing KB832483 on 01/31/2004 I get an IE6 error
on almost all messages viewed on the Yahoo Buisness
message boards. Installing KB832894 earlier today made no
difference. I never encountered this problem before
installing KB832483. I've sent several error reports to
Microsoft when this error occurred.

Some exception information:
iexplor.exe AppVer. 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: Unknown
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Address: 0x0...069017e

Any idea what it causing this problem and/or how to fix it?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
The program name is IEXPLORE.EXE. I checked your link and
I didn't see a match to my problem.

I scanned my system with Norton Antivirus (updated
02/04/2004) and it didn't find any problems. I also ran
SPYBOT and nothing showed up that wasn't there a couple of
months ago.

I would uninstall KB832483 but there is not an entry in
Add/Remove Programs for that item. I could restore my
system from the last full system tape backup of two weeks
ago, but I think for now I'll just put up with the
problem. I also tried disabling 3rd pary applications in
IE6 but that also made no difference.

What is strange is that I only get this error on the Yahoo
business Message Board messages. The page starts to come
up with the advertisements displayed and then this error
occurs 95 percent of the time before the message text is
displayed.

I'm getting the same exception code in AppName:iexplore.exe
ModName: vx2.dll of IE6SP1.
I get this everytime IE6 starts and it is totally unusable.
I have tried reinstalling and redoing SP6 several times
with no change to the problem. Believe it is java related.
I have gone back to IE3 since I can't find IE5.5
anywhere(Microsoft took it away).
I do not have either of the KBs you mentioned.
Any ideas?
