I have been descounting a product 50% then another 20% then 5% I use this as a formula
=sumA1/2(1-20%)(1-5%)

I have seen spreadsheets other have made and the have 1 decimal for all three percentages.

How do they get this number? Please help I'm cunfused for sure. TIA

Discounting that way can be written:

=A1 * (1 - 50%) * (1 - 20%) * (1 - 5%)

which, converted to decimals is

=A1 * 0.5 * 0.8 * 0.95

Combining the last three:

=A1 * 0.38
