Excell

This may not be the right place to ask but I need to open an attachment that
uses Microsoft office excell. When opening I get the message "xls file
format not valid" This microsoft office product was installed previously on
98. Anyone having suggestions on corecting this problem would be apprecated.

You can get a free viewer for the file at the following site:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/000/viewers.asp

Not sure what the problem is, you didn't tell us whether or not Office or
any of the components are installed on your system and if they are
installed, it's possible the file version for Excel is a later version than
what is supported by the version installed on your system. If it goes back
to 98, that's a distinct possibility.
