I plotted a graph of
X= 100 200 300 400 500 600 700 800
Y=
1.33 2.67 4.00 5.33 6.67 8.00 9.33 10.67
and got a linea trendline equation of
y = 1.2708x - 0.011.
I would like to attach the graph, but there does not seem
to be provision for this.
Microsoft chat was useless.

I just graphed this same data, and Excel 97 SR-2 (I) gave a trendline eq'n of

y = 1.33357142857143E-02 x - 1.07142857142857E-03

What version of Excel are you using, including service pack level. Run the menu
command Help > About, and note the entire top line within the dialog.

Be sure to use an XY (Scatter) chart type, not a Line chart type.
