Excel97 tabs skip colums

In an excel 97 spreadsheet, the tab function goes from
column A to column M, then to column S. I believe it is
some type of formating that has been put in, but cannot
find where. Any ideas
 
Try this...

Go to your Tools menu and select Options. Select the
Transition tab. Make sure that there is NO checkmark
next to "Transition Navigation Keys."
