I am using Office 97 SR2, on a Win98 pc.
When I try to create a chart using either the Chart
Wizard button on the toolbar, or going to Insert, Chart,
I get this error msg:
This program has created an illegal operation and will be
shut down.
Details:
EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in module MS097.dll at
018f:3070ac08
This is what I've done:
Removed Office 97 SR2, and also removed Excel Viewer,Word
Viewer,Powerpoint Viewer. (I guess someone had installed
these because they didn't have Office.)
Then I reinstalled Office97 SR2. Didn't reinstall the
viewers.
The chart wizard will work for a short while, but I
noticed on one occasion after I created a chart and saved
it, when I closed Excel and opened it again, I got the
error back. So I uninstalled/reinstalled again. Chart
wizard worked again for a while, until god knows what
messed up. I'm pretty sure some files are corrupt
somewhere.
Ideas?
