IS IT POSSIBLE TO MATCH UP SPECIFIC DATA WHEN TRANSFERING
ONE SPREADSHEET TO ANOTHER? FOR EXAMPLE, A 5000 LINE
SPREADSHEET WITH 5000 DIFFERENT PART NUMBERS. IF I WANT
TO TRANSFER ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM ANOTHER
SPREADSHEET BUT IT ONLY CONTAINS 2000 PART NUMBERS THAT
ARE ON THE FIRST SPREADSHEET. CAN I TRANSFER THE
INFORMATION TO MATCH UP WITH ITS CORRECT PART NUMBER?

yes, you can. a vlookup would do well. I can tell you
what the formula is but it would be better if you click
on "insert" menu, then function. click on "all" on the
function category and on the function name, look for the
function "vlookup". This'll open a window for the
formula. You can always click on the "?" on the bottom
left of the Vlookup window to ask for help. When you've
done the vlookup, you can add up the value from the 5000
line worksheet with the vlooked-up value from the 2000
line worksheet and get the total per part.
