Does WindowsXP have Ecel & Word, or anything to take its
place, I've looked every where, have a lot of files I
would like to transfer. HELP!!

Greetings --

Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, nor any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, etc.), have _ever_ been "part" of *any* Windows operating
system. They are, and always have been, separate applications, that
must be purchased and installed separately.

Windows is an operating system. Windows XP is the latest
desktop OS.

Applications, such as OFFICE include WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK
and PowerPoint.
You can buy MS WORKS SUITE for about $100 and get WORKS and
WORD and some other programs. Just plain WORKS has a word
processor, spreadsheet (flat file) a simple database and a
calendar program).

You can download free viewers for these programs that will
allow you to open but not edit files. See MS downloads for
Office.
