After a "critical update" of Windows 98 three days ago,
Excel 2000 won't close. It freezes when exiting and when
I control-alt-delete to "end task" I get the error
message "The system is dangerously low in resources: Would
you like to terminate the following application?
Application Microsoft Excel [Not Responding]." After
terminating application the entire computer is not
responding and only a manual shut down will it restore. I
have reinstalled Office 2000 and Windows 98 with no
success in solving this problem. Word and Access are fine
as well as all other applications.
