Excel Startup

Excel 2002 opens five or more workbooks when I startup the program i
anyway through shortcuts.

How can I reduce this to one workbook at a time
 
Hi mcollin!

Use:

Tools > Options > General
This allows you to see if there is a folder which contains files that
are to be loaded on start up.
Change or delete it.

If that is empty use:

In Explorer
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\XLStart

Remove files from that directory as they are also opened automatically
on opening Excel.
