I'm currently writing some code that produces scale drawings form data
in worksheets.

At present I delete and create all the shapes each time the drawing
needs to be updated.

Will this cause problems in the future? I've noticed that the numbers
allocated to the names of the objects by excel are incrementing rather
rapidly. (I've since been naming each shape) Is there a maximum number
of shapes that can be created (even if deleted)? Or should I be
changing the size of the shapes rather than recreating them?

Thanks

Simon,
What are you trying achieve with this ? And what degree of accuracy do you
require ?
From my experience, you should not really on Excel being able to draw, scale
or place shapes exactly.

Depending on your needs, drawing to a picture box or Illustrator may be
options.
