Excel setup

Hi
When I (in EXCEL 2003) click on FILE, a drop down box shows me the last four
files that have been in use.
Is there an easy way to increase the number of files showing in that area,

Don't know about 2003, but 97 and 2002 versions allow up to 9 entries.

Tools>Options>General "Recently Used File List" has a spinner button.

and what to do if I don't have the option active, meaning:
Tools=>Optins=>General=>Recently used file list
is grey???

happened after a thorough registry cleaning!!

Please help!!
