Hello Everyone,
We have a PC running XP PRO service pack I, the PC has
Office 2000 Professional installed. When the guy is using
Excel and tries to scroll across to the right, using the
arrow keys quickly i.e. holds down the right arrow for a
few seconds. The PC's beeps then sometimes inserts a
number, if he's going right it normally a 6. If you look
at the number pad there is an arrow on the number 6. He
his defiantly using the proper arrow keys, I have
replaced his keyboard and still nothing. I have check
the "Sticky Key's" settings and that is all set
correctly. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul.

I don't have an explanation, but maybe slowing down the keyboard will alleviate
the problem.

In Win98, I can do:
Windows|start button|settings|control panel|keyboard applet

There's a couple of settings on the speed tab that you could fiddle with.

And just make life miserable, maybe it's a keyboard interface (motherboard???)
problem. Any chance you can try a 3rd keyboard--maybe USB to see if that fixes
it. (But that's way beyond me.)
