C Chip Pearson Jul 8, 2003 #3 Maci, The Nth root of any number is that number raised to the 1/N power. E.g, =A1^(1/3) for the cube root, or =A1^(1/4) for the fourth root, and so on -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com (e-mail address removed)

G Gilles Desjardins Jul 8, 2003 #4 Maci, I think that one uses the power symbology. Example: 5^(1/3) gives you 1.709976 the cubic root of 5. I am bad in math but try it and tell me if this works for you. HTH Gilles
