I have an employee who works with multiple worksheets -
about 5 at a time. inputs numbers and changes them
around. She uses Excel XP. Anytime she is in Excel, her
machine wants to restart. Her machine has been rebuilt
twice to eliminate any hardware error. Application has
been completely removed and reinstalled. Any thouhgts?

Test the workbook on other machines. If it restarts those machines, it'd seem
the problem lies in the workbook, in which case you'd need to provide lots more
details. If it doesn't restart other machines, then sit with the user and see if
you can spot what the user is doing that causes the restart.

Also, what, precisely, do you mean by rebuilding the user's machine? If you
never changed the motherboard, you haven't eliminated the possibility that it's
faulty. Anyway, if the workbook runs on other machines without restarting them,
then either the user is doing something wrong, there's a noxious combination of
software on this user's machine, or you haven't in fact eliminated the
possibility of hardware problems.
