Excel Problem, has this happened to you?

I have a list of numbers that = 6960.23 in excel. However, when I take those
same numbers and add them with a calculator by hand, they = 6960.26. Why is
there a .03 cent difference?
 
Do you have negative numbers in the list and do you have the 'Precision as
Displayed' checkbox set?

Sounds like the error might be the sum of the undisplayed truncations.
