I have a user who mentioned to me yesterday that he is having something
strange go on with Excel. He is running XP Pro, and Excel 2000.

He claims that anytime he opens an Excel spreadsheet, another blank
spreadsheet always opens as well. So, in his task bar at the bottom, there
would always be two items for Excel. One for the spreadheet he opened and
the other for this empty one - which he says is all grey - he cannot enter
anything in it. He says he can close it but why would this be happening??

Thanks,

Brad

Maybe a bit late, but I'm not to often in this group

The second spreadsheet, is this something like persnlk.xls (might be
the dutch filename for it).

If take this spreadspreet to front, you can use hide in the window
menu to hide this thing. I beleive it's a system thing where for
example macro's are stored
