When I print a spreadsheet, boarders seem to float and
near the bottom of the spreadsheet actually line through
numbers in a row.

I am printing to an HP5si. I sent the file to another user
(uses Office 2000) who printed to another printer and to
the HP with no problems.

Please explain. Thanks.

The printer driver on your machine is flawed. reinstall, or get an
update from the vendor's web site.

Sorry it didn't work. I am still pretty sure it is the printer driver.
99% of the time it is. printer drivers control printing. printing not
directly controlled by the applications.

I'm not sure what "this" is. What did you do? Just reintall? Get an
updated driver?

Try powering down the printer for a minute, then restart. Sometimes
this does wonders.

Clearly there is a dfference between the computer your collegue uses and
the one you use. The candidates are:

Printer difference: (but from your note I conclude you are both
printing to exactly the same physical printer)
Printer driver different: check version numbers on each.
Office Version: check version numbers

I think the HP5si may have built-in PostScript and HPCL. If your
printer does, try printing to it in PostScript mode (or visa versa) to
isolate the problem.

Since this is an excel-based problem, best you seek guidance from others
who may have seen this with excel. respost at microsoft.public.excel
newsgroups.
