When starting Excel 2003 sp1 I get a message saying "Not enough system
resources to display completely" and then when I click OK it sometimes goes
and sometimes doesn’t. Also when i type anything in a cell the message
appears again.

I've even uninstalled and installed office XP but get the same result?!?
I at a lost, any idea's?
thanks in advance...

Look for a file called Excel.xlb (It may be hidden so search for that too).
Remove or delete it from it's location. It's Excel's toolbar file. It will
create a new one when it can't be found.

If that fixes the issue you can delete the old file

Any other profiles on the machine? If it is specific to a profile then it
is likely not an installation issue. Can you recreate the profile perhaps
which will then hopefully get rid of any user specific
settings/files/corruptions?

Custom Toolbars perhaps?

Addins perhaps?
