Excel Name Box......What about Access?

Hi everyone,

Is there something in MS-Access similar to "Name Box" in Excel?

not that i am aware of.
access doesn't have named ranges. doesn't have ranges.

perhaps you could explain more about what you are trying to do in
access.

You may want to ask in a forum dedicated to access, too.

In mathematical programming, when you are building a model, you can
refer to input-data in Excel using workbook_name---->worksheet_name---
given_NameBox of the block that has that data

In other words, you can list your data vectors or tables in one Excel
workbook, give each a box name, and refer to it later by name in any
model you are building...

Now, in Access, I am assuming there is no such thing as "Name Box",
right? So, how can you go around this?

I have no idea. I would think that asking in a forum dedicated to Access would
be better.

I'd suggest comp.databases.ms-access as a good place to begin; but I'll
caution you that some in that group killfile everything coming from
Google Groups.

You might want to look into news providers such as
eternal-september.org, aioe.org or individual.net (there are others).
