Excel is blank when opened in IE

Hello,

Everytime i'm trying to open excel in IE 6.0 sp1 using http tag it opens up
blank. The alternative was opening excel in office instead of using IE, that
still shows a blank excel file. However, when i browse to the local
directory to where the actual excel files is stored and open it, it opens
fine. Can any one tell me why this is happening?

Thanks,

sach

It sounds as if the OLE part (opening other types of document within a
different app in this case) is messed up. Try reinstalling Office and see if
it helps restore the malfunction.

sach,
Ask the sender to send the file "attached" to a plain text message, especially if the sender is using a version of OUTLLOOK. I don't know if you can open an Excel within OE, it might be that you need to save it first to the PC, then open it with the Excel program. But I may be wrong.

try open 2 times without close the first IE,
the second time can open the excel file
