Good Morning,

I am working on several worksheets that contain cost data.
I need to increase the values by 5%.
I do not want to retype all the cells.

There are about 7 different worksheets all with different combination
of rows and columns so a solution that involves me selecting the rang
with the mouse would be ideal.

a simplified example would be
A B C
1 100 100 100
2 100 100 100
3 100 100 100

increase a1:c3 by 5%

A B C
1 105 105 105
2 105 105 105
3 105 105 10

Hi
- enter the value 1.05 in any empty cell, select this cell and copy
this cell
- select your range to change
- goto 'Edit - Paste Special' and choose 'Multiply'

Enter 1.05 in some blank cell. Copy it.

Select the range you want increased with your mouse;

go to edit>paste special>multiply. OK.

Hi Richard,

Try the following:

1) Put 1.05 in a cell in your worksheet
2) Select that cell > edit > copy
3) Select the cells whose values you want to change
4) Edit > paste special > multiply
4) Click Ok

Hope this helps!

Oh my thank you...

I was looking at kinds of complex solutions.. never thought o
