Hi

I have 4 columns: Gender, Race, Disability and cost

I need to calculate how many Gender ( Male/Females ) , Race( B, I, W, C ) . disabled (Yes/No) did I spend ( Cost ) in the current financial year

please assist with the formula

I don't understand what you are asking - do you want to count the number of entries in each of the first three columns, and sum the total cost?

I want to know how many Black, Indian and coloured Male or female, disabled or not disabled I have trained and how much I have spend for their training.

Example
Colum A Column B Colum C Colum D
(Gender) (Race) (Disability) ( Cost )
Male Black Yes R400
Male White No R700
Female Black No R600

I want a formula that will calculate no of black male disabled =() and total cost for their training =()

Sounds like a pivot table would be better suited for your needs: Create a PivotTable to analyze worksheet data
