Karl

I was wondering if someone could help me. Is there a way
of applying a formula to several cells to do a
calculation. For example can I select say 3 to 4 cells
and mutiply them all by a certain number without doing a
separate calculation per cell?

3 =15
5 x5 =25
6 =30

I would really appreciate it, if someone could help me as
it would save me a lot of time.

A Canadian living in Russia.

Thanks Karl

Hi Karl,

If, as in your example, you want to multiply a number of cells by 5, try
the following:

1) Enter the number 5 in a blank cell
2) Select the cell with the number 5 > Edit > Copy
3) Select the cells whose values you want multiplied
4) Edit > Paste Special > Multiply

Hope this helps!
