I would like to have a column of numbers, ever increasing and show the
highest number in a seperate cell.

Target cell 100

I don't know where to start if this an IF function or not. The target cell
would be frozen and be current as the days go by.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One way:

A1: =MAX(A2:A65536)
