Excel files won't open unless I open Excel first. Why?

I hate this posting system. How do I check "My Posts". It's not like I'm
going to find out since I won't find this one.
 
Hey wadda ya know, I found it. Stupid page wanted to close after I posted. A
link is really needed to go directly to your post or where your post will
