Excel files dont open - Help!

I have the same problem as others as of about one week ago. I feel that
maybe an automatic update caused this bug.
Excel files embedded in emails or even located on my desktop "cant be found"
BUT if I invoke Excel and then open-desktop- filename it opens.

I repaired the same problem today by backing out the latest Office Security
Update for Excel. I went into Control Panel, Add/Delete Programs and clicked
on Updates and took the new Excel Update out. It was automatically replaced
with the old program. Everything seems to be working fine now.

PS For some reason the new update also knocked out my McAfee SecureSystem
when I opened an Excel file from Outlook.
 
Thanks - I tried it. Then rebooted but it didnt solve my issue. Maybe I
need to go back even further than the last update - this started happending a
little more than a week ago.

Is there a way to report a bug to MS?
