Excel file came up as delimited and now data is all gobbledgook

I have an important Excel file made up of a number of spreadsheets. I went to
open it and it has come up as delimited with all the data as rubbish
information. How do I restore it to its original.
 
Hi,

The file may be corrupt so you may want to restore a backup or have IT
restore it.
