Excel documents

I upgraded my PC from XP to Vista Home Premium. The problem I have has
followed from XP to Vista.

When I try to open a xxxx.xls application I get a message
"xxxx.xls is not a valid Win32 application"
If I open Excel and then open the app no problem. I've reinstalled Office to
no avail.
I tried right clicking the app and then selecting open with Excel...same
problem.

Help please

Hi. You might want to post your question at the Mr Excel message board here:
http://www.mrexcel.com/board2/index.php. They've solved a lot of Excel
problems for me over the years.
