Hi everyone,
Hoping I can get some advice to help me with a frustrationg situation.
I'm using Excel 2003 on 2 different XP systems. 1 is my primary system at home, the other at work.
I have a folder that has many excel, word, JPEG, etc documents in it that I send to a thumbdrive, take it to work, modify the documents as needed and then transfer the folder back to my home PC. I delete the original folder on the home pc before transfering the new/updated version.
While at work, I work on the documents directly from the thumb drive.
I have random issues with some of the Excel docs where I will go to open it (either location) and it will tell me the file can not open. Sometimes it will open in repair mode but all of the formatting is gone.
Very frustrating.
What am I doing to cause this issue?
I am following protocal by safely removing the hardware before pulling it out.
Appreciate any help!
