Hello, I am ver frustrated because I am in the middle of a project, trying to
move charts and tables from Excel into a Word or Publisher document, and it
keeps crashing. I saw on a MSN chart room that there was a fix this but I
have no clue what they are talking about. I an not an IT person, I am just
tying to get some work done. Also, I think I downloaded Office 2007 thinking
it would work better on Vista, but I can not find it, it did not go to my
desktop. Anyboy know how to keep Excel 2003 from crashing in Vista and how
find the file that I sonwloaded
Thanks, B

Two points for you:
If you're in the middle of a project and are familiar with pre-Excel 2007
interface, then you're going to probably be slowed down quite a bit by
switching to 2007 with its very different user interface.
Earlier versions of Excel (as 2000, 2002[XP] and 2003) should run just fine
under Vista.
As for where did the 2007 file go? Might try downloading again and watching
closely where it gets put. Hopefully you downloaded a trial version from a
Microsoft site? Or right-click on the download link and use Save Target As
so that you can direct the download to a location on your system of your
choosing.

Hi,

I have similar problems and my excel files are corrupted. If your file
is also corrupted, you can try a tool called Advanced Excel Repair. It
works rather well for me. Its homepage is http://www.datanumen.com/aer/
Hope this helps.
