Am using Word 2002 and have been bringing in Excel charts
as "Link, Paste Special" into Word, as in previous
versions. When it comes in it is in a gray background,
with the figures in, which is different from the previous
versions of a white background. I have checked Word
options and Excel and have yet to find why this is
happening. My home computer does not operate this way
under the same enviornment. Does anyone have a clue where
the difference is? It is just harder to view the
spreadsheet in the document.

Hi

In Word, try Tools > Options > View. Is Field Shading set to "Always"? If
so, change it to "When Selected". This setting determines how fields are
displayed in a document. It is generally useful to be able to identify
fields, so I wouldn't recommend changing the setting to "Never". Note that
the grey shading doesn't print.

Hope this helps.
