J Jacob Skaria Nov 6, 2009 #2 --You can custom format to yyyy/mm/dd (Right click>FormatCells>Number>select Date or select Custom and enter yyyy/mm/dd) --If you enter the dates in excel date format.you can do the sorting in asc or desc as excel stores the dates as numbers Just check out the below link by Chip http://www.cpearson.com/excel/datetime.htm If this post helps click Yes
