Excel Excel - Cell Pointer jumps on double click

I'm writing code in the sheetbeforedoubleclick event of a workbook and it works nicely. But,sometimes, as I doubleclick, the cell pointer moves to a new position, above or below the cell double-clicked. It does this inconsistently. Any ideas?
