Excel's default "correction" of formulas is fraught with disaster. It seems
I can't attach an example spreadsheet, but try this:
In a new worksheet, enter into cell A11-
=sum(A1:a5)
In cell A12 enter =sum(a6:a10)
Now fill in numeric values for A1 to A10. You will notice that once you
reach A6, Excel starts CHANGING the formula in A11! If you don't notice this
misbehaviour, you end up with rubbish results.
Bad, Excel! BAD!
