excel and buttons ?

Got a tough one here.

I am using excel to list several items, and at the top, I
have colums listed as - price - catagory - date - etc. I
have the numbered items listed on the left going down in
numerical order.

What I want to do is make some type of button under the
title of the colums that will (with the click of the
button) arrange all items to decend from greatest to
least, and by clicking it again, it sorts them to acend.
is this possible? If so, how?

You could make life a whole lot simpler just by using the Sort toolbuttons
on the Standard toolbar. Just select a cell in the column you want to sort
by first and click.
 
Opinions differ.

Always. RD has a flair for the dramatic though. He must have had a
traumatic experience. I'd point out to him that a sort is not destructive.
If he doesn't like what Excel does he can press Ctrl-z. I've found Excel's
guesses to be pretty good overall.
