With Excel and MSAS 2000, I could share cube spreadsheets with other users -
the users could run the spreadsheets and do a refresh without problems. Since
upgrading to MSAS 2008, Excel gives the error "An error was encountered in
the
transport layer". This error then triggers another error "Errors in the OLE
DB provider. An error occurred while loading the connection dialog box
component for prompting". Only the original author can refresh the
spreadsheet against the cubes, nobody else (even if the data connection name
is the same). Is there a solution to this issue? Thanks.
