Is it possible to have XML files open in Excel Version 9.
If so what do they need to install to make it work. Will
SP3 for Office 2000 do it?

We are developing a solution that uses XML as an export
method and we need to know the minimum requirements for
Office to open it in Excel.

I am sorry let me reword it.

I am trying to find the minimum version of Excel that will
open an XML Document so that I can publish that as a
requirement on the application. Is Office 2000 v.10 the
minimum or is v.9, etc.

Hi Chris,

I think the office2000 whose version is 9.xxxx is the minimum. You may
check the link below.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnoffxml/h t
ml/ofxml2k.asp
But I suggest the office2002 whose version is 10.xxx perfered.
