Excel 2007 Pivot Table Disappears

I created a pivot table in compatibility mode with Excel 2007, which worked
fine until I saved and re-opened the file. Then the pivot table disappeared
from the workbook and only displayed the data that were displayed with the
report filter selections at the time of the save.

Hi,

Excel 2007 pivot tables are NOT backwards compatible. You can see the pivot
table in 2003 but none of its functionality will be available. The only
alternative is to make the original pivot table a 2003 one and use it in 2003
or 2007.
