Excel 2007 not printing gridlines though requested

I'm using Office 2007 Small Business Edition. I have a one-sheet workbook
created with Excel 2003 (possibly 200 rows, 12 columns), and requesting a
print of the populated cell area. The print option for printing gridlines is
checked on the Sheet Tab. In addition, there are some borders on some cells
(put there before my time....). When I ask for a preview of the print,
neither the gridlines nor the line borders appear. When I actually print the
sheet, they don't appear either. I'm using an HP Photosmart 8400 printer.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Last night I installed the Office 2007 SP1 update, but this had no effect on
the problem.

I'm running on Windows XP Pro, Dell Latitude D830.

Any thoughts? Thanks.
