I am a diabetic and I use Excell to track my blood sugars on a monthly basis,
rolling to the totals to another sheet. Each month's sheet has a column for
breakfast, lunch, and evening blood sugars as well as a graph showing the
monthly sugar levels in a graphic format based on the contents of each sugar
column.
At the beginning of each month, I copy the previous month's sheet into the
workbook as a new sheet and rename it. In Excel XP, this resets all of the
information in the graphics object in the new sheet to the new sheets name
and it retains the column references for the graph. As soon as I enter data
for the current month, the graphic adjusts properly.
In Excel 2007, the copy function keeps the references in the graphics object
tied to the previous months sheet name. When I try to edit the data sources
in the graphics object to use the new month's sheet, all of the information
concerning the sources in the sheet vanish and I cannot re-establish these
references. This is not good!
