i need help!
if i protect the sheet i am working on it gives me the option wether to protect it or the whole project.
When i try to just protect certain cells i can't do it.
How do i do this?
If i protect whole sheet it disables the macro how do i get round this problem?

Protection

Alright fella,

As a default all the cells in a workshet are locked. This means if you protect the worksheet/book then all of the cells will be protected. Basically if you want to allow some user input to the worksheet you will need to rightclick on the cells they are allowed to enter data into, goto format cell - protection and mark those cells as unlocked (remove the tick).

When you protect the workbook after this the unlocked cells can still be used whilst the locked ones can't.
